Second place was taken by fraud while in group 3 insurance (1 347 cases totaling more than 27 million zł). While the number of offenses of insurance to motor insurance has proven to be generally proportional to the held by insurance companies in market share in motor insurance. The latest figures provided by the PIU at the Conference in Szczecin, in February 2005 on the scale of crime insurance reveal that in 2003 as in previous years dominated fraud made in connection with damage to the liability insurance of motor vehicles (63% in terms of the number and 23% in value terms) and autocasco (respectively 19% and 15%). Problems associated with determining the exact scale of crime insurance also result from the fact that not all insurance companies keep statistics made or usiłowanych crime insurance.
